Sustainability management is an area of competence that helps companies, both public and private, to reduce operating costs, mitigate existing risks and find new development opportunities and competitive advantages. Thanks to them, companies are able
to create value in the increasingly complex reality of an integrated economy at the global, regional and local level.
We analyse the company’s value chain, from the upstream stages of obtaining resources and materials, contracting suppliers, through the company’s operations and the product life cycle, to the downstream stages of its use by customers and end-of-life. We identify stakeholder groups and potential risks and opportunities at all stages of the value chain. The result is a report with a set of guidelines that the company may implement in its operating activities and thus it is able to increase profits and reduce potential development risks.
We help to organize the functioning of the company in specific areas, such as supply chain management, environmental impact, workforce management, relations with communities and public stakeholders, or building brand value among customers. Including these areas (and other areas considered material as a result of the study) in a coherent, sustainability strategy enables to achieve business goals in a way which reduces the negative impact of the company on the environment, uses development opportunities and increases return on capital.
Each topic considered material should have its own policy, defining the way the company sets relevant targets and manages their achievements. When developing policies in these topics, we consider the solutions used in the company so far and adapt them to changing conditions, e.g., previously identified non-financial risks or regulatory requirements. We also help in transferring policies from the parent company to subsidiaries, often geographically and organisationally diverse.
The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are universal goals established by the United Nations that should be achieved by 2030. From the point of view of companies, they are an excellent framework that helps to organize their environmental, social and employee policies and strategies. We support companies in identifying Goals and specific tasks defined within them that best suit the companies’ operating activities. We help to align sustainability strategies and topic policies with the SDGs.
