ABOUT US

What we do

MATERIALITY is a consulting firm providing services related to sustainability. Our mission is to support companies in their transition towards sustainable and regenerative business models.

We identify impact areas, risks and opportunities linked to sustainability that are material to companies and then we help them to manage these aspects in an appropriate way. We develop sustainability strategies, decarbonization plans, roadmaps for circular transformation and take part in their implementation, among other things. We prepare sustainability reports, calculate greenhouse gases emissions, calculate alignment levels with the EU Taxonomy for sustainable activities and help to launch human rights due diligence processes. We inspire changes that are important for the growth of a company and help to build solid relations with stakeholders.

We work for large public and private companies from Poland and Europe as well as for smaller start-ups and other organizations. We are experienced in such industries as: construction and real estate, energy, industrial (including extractive, automotive, electronic, food and clothing industries), as well as banking, new technologies, media, commerce and e-commerce.

Our support is valued on the market, the reports we write achieve awards, and the members of MATERIALITY Team serve as ESG experts who educate and train a growing circle of people looking for credible sources of knowledge.

Our values

We base our activities on values that we have worked-out collectively and which we treat as a signpost in our everyday work – we base our business decisions on them, grow our Team and support our environment. In line with the principle “walk the talk”, we collect our non-financial data, analyse our impact on the surroundings and reduce negative impacts. That is why our office is located in a historic building in the city centre, with easily accessible public transport. At the office entrance, there are bicycle racks and in our office you will find recovered second-hand plants, furniture that we have given second life to, healthy food and scales for waste. This year we spent about 1% of our revenues to support citizens of Ukraine through the programme carried out by Partnerstwo Otwarty Jazdów and, traditionally, to plant forests through the Las Na Zawsze Foundation.

We have collectively set values that guide our work at MATERIALITY:

Materiality: we focus on what is material

Impact: we work to create impact and cause a change

Quality and professionalism: we offer high-quality services that we constantly improve

Honesty, courage and integrity: we do not avoid difficult topics, we speak openly and honestly, we diligently present data and events

Respect: we respect our clients, co-workers and environment. We value diversity, different perspectives and diverse work styles

Growth: we continually learn and develop solutions to meet new challenges

Safety: we care about the safety of our clients and employees, we audit our actions and introduce necessary improvements

Persistence: we set ambitious challenges to ourselves and we do not give up when we face difficulties

Avant-garde: we want to be avant-garde in the world of sustainability experts

Life: we celebrate Life 🙂

How we work

By joining our Team, you will work in the office or under the hybrid work model. As a standard, we work from Monday to Friday from 9 to 5 but we can arrange individual working hours if your life situation requires this. Even though we work very intensely, we care about not staying at work overtime, we respect our time and this includes our free time. We divide the working day into silent own work, meeting with clients, internal educational meetings and team work. Most of the meetings take place on-line. We reserve time for a lunch break during the day. Instead of fruity Thursdays, we have knowledge Fridays – more than half of the day is dedicated to organized educational sessions. Even when the work schedule is very busy, we will always find some time to enjoy coffee together and talk.
