CIRCULAR ECONOMY

Circular economy is an economic system which aims to minimize the use of resources and waste generation by keeping the product in use for as long as possible. When the product reaches the end of its life cycle it is reused, recycled, upcycled or repaired in order to create new value. This closed-loop approach fosters economic transformation so that, on one hand, it provides economic growth, new job opportunities, investments, social justice and, on the other hand, mitigates climate change, counteracts environmental issues and non-renewable resources exploitation.

It may be really challenging for the management team to implement circular economy models within company’s activity. MATERIALITY supports companies in analysing their value chain, identifying material flows, value loss points and finding capacity to generate greater value on each step of the value chain. We develop recommendations regarding transformation of company’s business model and operating activity towards more circular economic approach.
